History

At Keep Hatch we believe children should first and foremost develop a love of History.  As a subject, it is exciting and interesting- it catches a child’s natural curiosity about the world around them; it encourages them to ask questions, and constantly seek answers to the questions they have about themselves and their place in the world.

Our curriculum supports pupils in developing the skills to use appropriate evidence, to question what is in front of them, and to stimulate their interest and understanding of the lives of people who lived in the past, all whilst helping them to appreciate how past events have shaped our present and may influence our future.
