World Book Day and our new virtual library

This week we celebrate everything to do with books and reading as we approach World Book Day on Thursday 4th March.

Here at Keep Hatch we get very excited about reading and have many ways planned for the children to get involved, both at home and school. Hopefully, you have read the details in the newsletter that outlines many of the activities: how you can submit photos of your creations, the resource grid for Wednesday’s book-themed well-being afternoon, information about dressing up and the big event … The Masked Reader. It should be lots of fun!

A brand new resource for the children is also being launched on Monday 1st March. We have been working hard to create a virtual library filled with e-books, audio books and read alongs. (It is located in the Whole School Team). It is within this virtual library that news regarding reading and links to festivals will be added.

This week, the Padlet links to upload photos and the masked reader videos can be found within this section. It would be wonderful if the children could get involved and interact with this new resource, there is even a chance for them to design the art work for the page.

Have a wonderful World Book Week everyone and happy reading!
