This week the children in Year 1 have been learning how to compare amounts and numbers by using the greater than, less than and equal to symbols. We began by using apparatus and images of crocodiles and then quickly moved on to using the mathematical symbols and language. The children have all worked very hard and we were very impressed with how quickly they grasped the concept.
