Welcome to Year 2 everyone!

We have been so pleased to welcome the children back this week after the summer break. Everyone has settled in really well and are enjoying their new classrooms and learning environments. Welcome also, to the children who are new to Keep Hatch. These children have had a great first week, making new friends and getting to know the staff.

This week, the children have been working hard at understanding place value in maths, and have been writing sentences  and focusing on adjectives in English. We have been reading ‘Oh Places You will Go’ by Dr Seuss and ‘After The Fall (How Humpty Dumpty got back up again)’ by Dan Santat. We’ve been so busy that we haven’t had a chance to take any photos! We promise some for our next post.

We’re really looking forward to sharing the exciting learning with the children over the next few weeks.
