Virtual Sports Day – Monday Challenges

Remember to talk about the cogs, whilst completing your virtual sports week activities:

The Physical cog is about using our bodies in different ways, persevering to improve our performance.

The Social cog is about encouraging and working well with others.

The Personal cog is about developing personal best and strengthening our growth mindset.

The Creative cog is about finding new things to try and developing these skills further. Once we have have gained a new skill, with out creative cog we start thinking about how we can refine and adapt our movements and performance.

The Cognitive cog is thinking about our actions; acknowledging, explaining and reflecting on what we do so that we can use that to help us decide what to do next.

The Health and Fitness cog is about keeping our bodies healthy, fit, strong and safe. This all starts with noticing the changes in our body when we exercise. Our bodies get hot and sweaty, our heart can start pounding and we might feel a little out of breath. This is a normal response to exercise.
