The Year 5s have been learning to play the clarinet this term and they have really enjoyed the challenge. They have learned how to assemble the instrument themselves, how to maintain it, how to play the notes C, D, E, F, G and A and how to play a few songs using those notes. They have come a long way since the first lesson or two of silence or squeaks. Today they performed their songs (Hot Cross Buns, Oh When the Saints, Jingle Bells and Twinkle Little Star) for the Year 4 classes who will be learning to play the clarinet next year. They should all be very proud of their achievements!
