Hello and Happy New Year!

Here are the details of our third cross country competition. This is a MOB event which means that both division 1 and 2 will be in attendance, so will feel very busy!

The MOB event of the season takes place at Braywick Sports Ground, SL6 1BN, on Thursday 19th January 2023.

Race Order:

First Race yr 3/4 girls – 2.00pm

Second Race yr 3/4 boys – 2.15pm

Third race Yr 5/6 girls – 2.30pm

Fourth race Yr 5/6 boys -3.45pm

We shall walk the course around 1pm. Please collect children from school at 12.30pm. From the sports hall at the bottom of the path. Children will go to lunch early at 12pm to ensure they have eaten.

Car parking:

There is plenty of car parking available in the main car park in front of the Braywick Leisure Centre and near the new start area of the race. Head towards Stafferton Lodge and turn right through both height restriction barriers into the new leisure centre car park.

The car park is pay and display (some machines do not accept Apple Pay – only credit/debit cards.
The following charges apply:
• Up to 1 hours – £1.30
• Over 3 hours – £5.30

Race Assembly Area:
Head towards the Leisure Centre Entrance. Walk straight through the Leisure Centre and exit on the opposite side to the car park. Continue ahead and the meeting point will be immediately obvious ahead.

Toilets and refreshments:

These are located inside the Leisure Centre on the right hand side as you enter inside. There
is an excellent café on the left hand side that we are allowed to use.

Race distance 

Year 3/4 – 1.4Km approx

Year 5/6 – 2.Km approx..

This is a fairly flat course but could be very wet. Spikes are not suitable as there are areas of graveled and tarmac paths.
