A Wonderful Christmas Time

The Puffins and Sparrows have been having a wonderful Christmas time. We have been busy learning all about the Nativity story, making stables, baking and decorating Christmas cakes, taking part in Christmas yoga, writing Christmas cards and lots more!

In the shared area, Santa’s Sitting Room and the Elf Workshop opened where children enjoyed dressing up as an Elf, Reindeer, Fairy, Mother Christmas and of course Father Christmas. It has been a lot of fun watching the children make and wrap the toys in the Elf Workshop and then helping Santa deliver the presents to children who are fast asleep in their beds. Meanwhile, outside, the children have been working together to build a sleigh using Polydron and wooden blocks- I think you’ll agree that if Santa ever needs a new sleigh, the Foundation Stage children would get the job of making it!

The Puffins and Sparrows have also enjoyed a virtual Christmas Workshop where we made some special reindeer food together and finished our festive evening with cups of hot chocolate, marshmallows and a Christmas story.

We also had a super Christmas party full of games, groovy moves and yummy food.

The Foundation Stage Team wish you all a very Happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you in the New Year.
