We had an amazing time at this years District Sports competition. The rain may have rained off the finals but we all still managed to compete in every event. The children cheered and supported each other all day.

Due to the final relays and races being rained off, the results were incomplete. At the time the competition was cancelled we were in-

3rd place for the boys

11th place for the girls

And 8th place overall.

We were able to receive individual places for the sprints, as they were timed and also for the field events.

Charlie won 1st place for the boys 60m sprint. 🥇🏆
Luke came in 2nd place for the boys long jump. 🥈
Max came in 2nd place for the boys 80m sprint. 🥈

The teams who would have competed in the following relays, if they had gone ahead, were,

4 x 60m boys relay

4 x 80m girls relay

and the 4 x 80m boys relay

Well done to all the team and thank you to Harry and Darcey our team captains for supporting and encouraging everyone on the day but also being so helpful at club.

We are all so proud of you and looking forward to seeing years 3,4 and 5 again next year and wish our year 6s all the best moving onto secondary school. We hope you continue to take part in athletics.

Thank you also to the parents who came to support us and help put the gazebos up and down! Even in the rain.
