In PE, we are learning to travel in different ways on various apparatus.
On a Thursday afternoon, we took part in our third cross country event of the year.
On Wednesday 22nd January, Amalie, Miley, Chloe, Leanne, Eleanor and Tibby, from Years 4-6, took part in an Advanced Teamgym event. They competed in tumble, springboard, and vault events, each earning points for the school team. They demonstrated impressive skills including back tucks, round offs and chin stands! They were beautifully behaved and worked so well as a team- well done girls!
Linked to this term’s geography, Year 6 took part in their very own escape room based on climate change this week.
In RE, children have been learning about the Christmas story from the Bible.
During the Winter Term of 2024 the Year 2 children were invited to St Crispin's Secondary School to take part in a fun-filled sports afternoon. They enjoyed a carousel of activities led by young sports leaders. The children loved practising their indoor athletics skills in a friendly, competitive environment.
On Wednesday the 15th of January, a small group of Year 6 children represented Keep Hatch at a School Games Bowling competition at Wokingham Superbowl, competing against different schools. They were all brilliantly behaved, had an amazing time and scored some incredible points!
During the certificate ceremony after their game, Hayden and Hannah were awarded certificates for scoring over 100 points, and Hannah received another framed certificate for being the highest scorer out of all the schools! An amazing outcome- well done Keep Hatch!
As introduced last half-term, we have created some cog information that we feel will help to improve oracy and behaviour in PE.

Our Year 1 and 2 children enjoyed performing their Christmas Nativity in front of their families.
We all had a lot of fun taking part in the Santa dash on Thursday 12th December πβοΈ πβοΈ
They enjoy playing games and supporting our Reception children during break and lunchtimes. They play games such as ‘what’s the time Mr.Wolf?’, ‘Hop, scotch’ and many more. They support the children using the playground markings and choosing which equipment to play with from the Friendship squad shed. π₯ βοΈ πβοΈ The reception children really enjoy spending their break time’s with the Friendship Squad π
The Puffins and Sparrows had a fantastic Christmas Workshop morning on Thursday.
