Keep Hatch Primary School is a thriving two-form entry primary school in Wokingham which is at the heart of the local community.  The school is a ‘Good’ school with strong outcomes.  Frays Academy Trust are looking to appoint an inspirational, motivated and driven leader for the school to continue to build on its success.  Keep Hatch Primary School has a supportive and positive community who are all committed to helping the children achieve the best possible outcomes whilst developing a love of learning.  The school has a strong, established team who are dedicated to the school, and look forward to welcoming their new Head Teacher in September.

 The Head Teacher will have overall responsibility for implementing the current school improvement priorities, working with the school improvement team and Governing Body, as well as being responsible for the operational management and performance of Keep Hatch Primary School.   The successful candidate will play a key role in the strategic leadership of the school and the Multi Academy Trust as a whole. 

 In addition to a competitive salary, the successful candidate will receive first-rate leadership development, a sustained commitment from Frays Academy Trust to his or her professional and career development, as well as regular coaching and mentoring from the Executive leaders. The Role

As our SEMH SRP Teacher, you will:

  • Lead learning for a small group of pupils with SEMH needs within our Specialist Resource Provision.
  • Deliver a highly personalised, trauma-informed and nurturing curriculum that supports emotional regulation, academic progress and social development.
  • Complete SEMH screening, robust assessments and individualised planning to ensure provision fully meets each pupil’s needs.
  • Create a stable, safe environment through predictable routines, relational practice and strong emotional support.
  • Work closely with families to rebuild trust, strengthen home–school relationships and celebrate children’s achievements.
  • Collaborate with mainstream teachers, senior leaders, specialist partners, external agencies and Educational Psychologists to secure the highest-quality provision.
  • Support pupils’ integration back into mainstream settings where appropriate.
  • Uphold the highest safeguarding standards and model our core values at all times.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher (QTS essential) with experience in SEMH, SEN or inclusive practice.
  • Has a nurturing, calm and relational approach to supporting children with complex needs.
  • Can inspire children to believe in themselves and see their own potential.
  • Communicates effectively, builds trust and works collaboratively with colleagues and families.
  • Can differentiate learning skilfully and deliver a broad, balanced and accessible curriculum.
  • Embraces our vision and values, and is eager to contribute to our whole-school community.

SEMH Specialist Resource Base Teaching Assistant - September 2026

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our brand-new Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) and play a vital role in supporting pupils with SEMH needs within a caring, inclusive school community.

The Role

As an SEMH Specialist Resource Base Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with the class teacher to support learning for a small group of pupils with SEMH needs within the Specialist Resource Provision.
  • Provide emotional, behavioural and academic support, helping pupils to regulate, engage and make progress.
  • Support the delivery of a personalised, nurturing curriculum.
  • Help create a safe, calm and predictable environment through consistent routines and relational practice.
  • Support pupils during learning activities, social times and transitions throughout the school day.
  • Contribute to assessment, observation and monitoring of pupils’ progress and wellbeing.
  • Work positively with families, staff and external professionals to support pupils effectively.
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and model the school’s values at all time

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEMH, SEND or additional needs 
  • Demonstrates a nurturing, patient and calm approach, even in challenging situations.
  • Understands the importance of relationships in supporting behaviour and learning.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team and follow guidance from teachers and leaders.
  • Communicates well with pupils, colleagues and families.
  • Is committed to supporting inclusion and helping every child achieve their potential.

The Leadership Team of Keep Hatch Primary School are looking to recruit a full-time Office Assistant to join the team from 5th May 2026 on a temporary contract until 17th July 2026. Please see the Job Description and Person Specification attached with full details of the role.
