Teaching Assistant

Pay Scale – from Grade 3 SCP 14 (£9.16 per hour) to SCP 17 (£9.67 per hour),  five mornings and two afternoons a week, term time only.

We are looking for a teaching assistant to join our friendly team from 19 November. The position may involve working with a specific child or group, as well as supporting other children in the class with their learning. Part of the hours will also be supporting the children at lunchtime. The candidate should be calm and caring and able to make a dedicated contribution to sensitively supporting the needs of all children.

You must

  • have experience of working with children
  • be passionate about children’s learning and every child achieving their potential
  • have lots of energy, enthusiasm and patience
  • be flexible and work well within a team
  • have experience of working with children from a range of different backgrounds
  • have a sense of humour

Lunchtime Assistants

Pay Scale – Grade 3 SCP 14 (£9.16 per hour), 6.25 hours per week, part time and term time only.

We are looking for caring and patient candidates to join our supportive team of Lunchtime Assistants.  In this role, any successful applicants would supervise and ensure the welfare of the children during the lunchtime period.  Responsibilities also include supporting the behaviour of the children and ensuring they are engaged in suitable and enjoyable play time activities.  This role also includes the set up and tidying of the hall including putting out the tables and chairs for lunch, and overseeing the pupils whilst they eat and clear away their plates.
Experience of working in a school is desirable but not essential. On-the-job training will be provided.
