An amazing day was had by all today at Keep Hatch as we celebrated World Book Day which focused upon further developing our children’s love of reading. The school was filled with a whole host of activities to include: a costume parade, a story carousel, a whole school book swap as well as a number of exciting activities in the children’s classrooms. The teaching team all worked to transform their classroom doors into books covers, and don’t they look fabulous?
We have had a huge number of potato characters in for our competition which will be judged tomorrow and announced in our Celebration Assembly. It’s going to be a very tough decision this year!
Well done to all children (& staff!) for their fabulous effort put into today and thank you to all families who have chosen to take part in the readathon which is helping raise money for story tellers and resources for children’s hospitals in the UK.
