Whole School Writing Project

In these strange times, when we can’t be together, we have united as a school  community to share our own Words for the World, inspired by the beautiful book HERE WE ARE by Oliver Jeffers, whose own words below encapsulate his message for his own baby son.

Our world can be a bewildering place, especially if you’ve only just got here. Your head will be filled with questions, so let’s explore what makes our planet and how we live on it. From land and sky, to people and time, these notes can be your guide and start you on your journey. And you’ll figure lots of things out for yourself” Oliver Jeffers

Children from Foundation Stage right through to Year 6 expressed their own ideas in notes, letters, illustrations, poetry, stories and song…Well done Keep Hatch.

Have a look at the wonderful writing and illustrations created by our children at Keep Hatch and maybe read the book together as a family.

“HERE WE ARE by Oliver Jeffers is a tour through the land, the sea, the sky, our bodies; dioramas of our wild diversity….he is the master of capturing the joy in our difference.” New York Times
