Look out for a letter coming home asking you to talk to your children about what life was like at home when you were growing up. What did you play with? How did you listen to music? What was your television like? Did you use a computer?
We are helping the Year 1 children to develop an awareness of the past and to use common words and phrases relating to the passing of time. By telling them about your childhood, you can help them to develop a curiosity about changes within living memory and the ways in which we can find out about these changes.
We will be sharing these ideas in class in the week starting 5 February. Many thanks for your cooperation.
