The children in Year 1 returned from their half term break eager to start our new topic, ‘Toys From The Past’.

We had a wonderful afternoon investigating some of the old toys that had kindly been sent in. We had a gypsy caravan that had been made by a great grandparent in the early 1940’s, a spinning top sent from India and lots of other fascinating items. The children had a great time talking about, and comparing the old toys with the toys that they play with now.

After we had looked at the toys, the children completed a sorting activity in their topic books.
