We all value sport and PE at Keep Hatch. Throughout the year there are many opportunities for all children to take part in both internal and external competitions and to join clubs. Our vision has always been to provide fun and challenging lessons to develop children’s agility, balance and coordination, and to help the children to work confidently and competently both individually and in team settings.
What better way to end the year than to turn our attention to using our love for sport to support a truly deserving cause? Thank you to all the children and families for trying their hardest to run their races, to raise money for Cancer Research UK and, most importantly, to have fun.
Here is what some of the children had to say:
Year R ‘I loved it because I like exercise.’
Year R ‘I GOT A MEDAL!’
Year 1 ‘We got to do lots of running and we got to do a lot of laps. I really liked running laps!’
Year 2 ‘It was fun because you can run for someone and get a medal.’
Year 2 ‘It was good because I felt like I was helping the world and I do like helping the world even though it gives me hiccups.’
Year 3 ‘It was really fun! It helps keep me fit and healthy.’
Year 4 ‘It was fun because I ran with my friends.’
Year 5 ‘I really liked that I could walk as well as run. It meant that everyone could take part.’
Year 6 ‘It was really fun and active and it helped raise money for cancer.’
