Year 3/4 Race
Yr 3 & 4 map: Approx 1.5km
Year 5/6 Race
Yr 5/6 map: Approx 2km
Year 5 and 6 children will do a lap clockwise around the first field at the beginning of the race.
When they enter the field round the back of the school, they will run around the whole field (rather than running directly towards the tree).
On their way back, before they enter the finish, they will run a lap of the first field (again) but this time anti-clockwise.
We will need to provide a marshal for this event. See maps below for our position. Our marshal number is 8. Please let me know if you can marshal on the day. When marshals arrive they must go to the race registration to be briefed. We will also need someone to record the positions and parents helpers this year who can assist in supervising the children. Please let me know before the day if you are able to support us.
We will provide a top for your child for this event. They will need trainers, shorts/joggers/leggings and a jumper. Bring any other appropriate clothing depending on the weather. Please also provide a snack and water for your child.
*Please remember that if your child is chosen to compete at this competition they will receive a letter of invitation. I am unable to take all the children due to a maximum number of children allowed. If your child is not invited to this competition it does not mean they will not be invited to the next. Equally if your children is invited to Blue Coat it does not guarantee them an invitation to the next competition. It all depends on your child’s weekly commitment, ability and enthusiasm shown at club.
