We began the day by taking part in a variety of workshops and activities where the children had hands-on experience playing with games and toys from the past. This included hopscotch, tiddly winks and dominoes. The children also sorted toys according to their age and the materials they were made from. After a well-earned lunch, we explored the museum visiting old-fashioned shops and we also saw many vehicles from the past. To finish our day, we visited the Milestones Pier where the children spent some old pennies on the penny machines. We all had a fantastic day and the Year 1 staff were so impressed with the impeccable behaviour of the Year 1 children.
