Gardening Club

Our first gardening club was a great success.

Our main job was to prepare the area for planting. This involved lots of weeding, digging and watering. The children thoroughly enjoyed getting their hands dirty and finding lots of bugs. We can’t wait to see what begins to grow over the coming weeks. Next week, we look forward to planting some potatoes.

A huge thank you to the ‘Wokingham in Bloom’ volunteers for supporting us in donating seeds, plants and compost, offering lots of advice and attending club today. Also, a big thank you to our parent volunteers, Ms Waistell, Miss Holloway and Mr Hiscoe, who helped revive an old planter and create some sunlight to help plants grow! We couldn’t run the club without their attendance. Thank you to Fiona’s husband for making one of our planters!

One final thank you to our lovely parent community for their generous donations from our Amazon wish list. We are very grateful. You are still able to purchase from our list, as we are still in need for some gardening tools and compost!
